Carolus Vitalis is a Chilean Ph.D. student in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, specializing in synthetic biology. A National Science Foundation (NSF) Fellow, he is advancing the field with innovative projects like AI-driven de novo DNA sequence design. He has co-authored three book chapters on genetic network design and metadata representation, published by Springer Protocols. Carolus is also an accomplished community leader, serving as Vice President of the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Students and a Synthetic Biology Open Language Editor.
